Do you enjoy teaching maker and computer skills to the public? Do you love sharing what you've made on social media, and celebrating others' achievements? We're looking for a community-focused, engaging Digital Media Lab Coordinator to assist library learners with their personal and small business projects.
You will provide individual and class instruction on equipment and skills, and help highlight the DML and the creativity of our community at our annual Maker Day and other outreach events. You'll learn how these tools work inside and out as you troubleshoot, maintain and document our DML equipment.
The Digital Media Lab Coordinator is responsible for various day to day operations of the Digital Media Lab including equipment maintenance, one-on-one patron assistance, planned activities and programming. You provide consistent and friendly service to patrons of all ages and abilities within the space while maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning and collaborating through technology and making.
- This a full-time, non-exempt position. The successful candidate will be enrolled in IMRF, eligible for health insurance, and will be entitled to 3 personal days, 11 paid holidays, 12 sick days, and vacation time.
- Full time staff currently work 35 hours a week and will be transitioning to 37.5 hours per week starting July 1st. Schedule includes day, evening, and occasional weekend hours.
