Fines Waived for Students

Evergreen Park Public Library activates library cards and waives fines to assist Evergreen Park Community High School students as they navigate through new and sometimes challenging learning environments.

Public Services Coordinator Ana Gomez partnered with Media Specialist Dr. Tina Ward to remove the barriers to the use of public library services and resources. Every EPCHS student's school ID also serves as their Evergreen Park Library card, so students can check out physical and downloadable materials and access valuable online resources such as Homework HelpNow live tutoring.

By the numbers, 523 student accounts were renewed, 232 new accounts created, and $726.77 over due fines were waived. Ms. Gomez said, "EPCHS student ID cards are activated and ready to use. We are here for you." Students are able to reserve computers, check our Wi-Fi hotspots, and book study rooms. Evergreen Park Public Library, 9400 S.
