Anna Behm's picture

You may have seen the news that we are refocusing the content that is available on the BiblioBoard platform and rebranding it as Inkie.org Library. The revised platform will exclusively feature content by Illinois authors, creators, and communities. Here is more detail on what is staying in the Inkie.org Library, what is moving to the eRead Illinois Axis 360 platform, and what will no longer be available.

What is Staying

The collections listed here are staying in the Inkie.org Library. They will still be available via this link: illinois.biblioboard.com. We encourage libraries to add this link to their list of online resources that they make available to their patrons.

What is Moving to eRead Illinois Axis 360

The collections listed here will be migrated to the eRead Illinois Axis 360 collection. These 4,000+ items will be available for simultaneous use.

What is Leaving

The collections listed here will no longer be available. This is due to extremely low usage and formatting issues.

Indie Author Project Select collections (sometimes referred to as Library Journal's Top Indie Picks) will no longer be available via the Inkie.org Library. Some of this content already is available for simultaneous use in the eRead Illinois Axis 360 collection. More of these titles will be added to Axis 360 in 2022.

If you would like a list of the titles that are staying in the Inkie.org Library, migrating to eRead Illinois Axis 360, and leaving theInkie.org Library please contact Anna Behm.

For libraries and consortia that upload their own MARC records, MARC records for the titles that have moved to Axis 360 will be available with the batch of records posted to the eRead Illinois website in December.

The Inkie.org website is a suite of resources that supports local authors with online creation and publishing tools. It is available to everyone in Illinois at no charge. Users can still go to https://www.inkie.org/ to create e-books using Pressbooks Public publishing tools, and to submit their e-book for inclusion in the Indie Illinois collection available via the Inkie.org Library.

These changes will not impact a library's subscription to BiblioBoard's Creator module. Your library's unique URL and BilioBoard site, community created collections, and Creator subscription will remain unchanged. For libraries interested in adding the Creator module, see our Deals and Discounts page for more information.
